District Doda Hosts Mega IEC Programme Highlighting Poshan and Swachhta Abhiyans

On August 14th, the District Program Officer of Doda, Pramjeet Singh, organized a Mega IEC Awareness Programme with a focus on Poshan Abhiyan, Swachhta Abhiyan, and a Tiranga Concert. The event was a significant step towards raising awareness about the importance of nutrition and cleanliness among the local community. The District Development Commissioner of Doda, Harvinder Singh, was the chief guest at the event.
The programme began with Harvinder Singh inspecting various stalls that showcased initiatives under the Poshan Abhiyan and Swachhta Abhiyan. These stalls provided insightful information on the government’s efforts to promote better nutrition and cleanliness standards in the district.
The event also featured a vibrant cultural performance that emphasized the importance of incorporating these values into daily life.
A key highlight of the programme was the active involvement of Supervisors, Health and Nutrition Mobilizers (H&NMs), Anganwadi workers, and helpers.
They engaged the audience through skits, songs, plays, and speeches, all aimed at spreading awareness about the crucial role of nutrition and cleanliness in improving public health.
In his address, Harvinder Singh stressed the importance of community participation in ensuring the success of government schemes like the Poshan Abhiyan. He highlighted how such initiatives are instrumental in combating malnutrition and ensuring the well-being of children and mothers.
Singh also underscored the significance of Swachhta Abhiyan in promoting a clean and healthy environment.
The event was well-attended by several key officials, including Chief Planning Officer Manesh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Development Manoj Kumar, Chief Education Officer Prakash Lal, District Social Welfare Officer Tariq Parvaiz, and Ninad, Executive Officer of the Municipal Council, along with all CDPOs of the district.
