DODA, OCTOBER 02: Today, a remarkable Paryavaran rally celebrating Gandhi Jayanti 2023 unfolded in Doda, orchestrated by the Department of Forest, Ecology, and Environment, Doda Forest Division. The rally served a dual purpose: raising awareness about the paramount importance of environmental conservation and paying homage to the great Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary.
Marching for a Greener Tomorrow
The rally commenced its journey from the Forest Division Office in Doda, winding its way towards the Sports Stadium. Enthusiastic participants proudly brandished banners and placards adorned with slogans championing the use of eco-friendly alternatives to plastic and underscoring the pivotal role of tree planting in safeguarding our environment and the lives it sustains.
DC Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, in his address, drew inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s iconic words, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world,” urging everyone to embrace their roles in shaping a cleaner, greener future.

The Department of Forest, Ecology, and Environment, Doda Forest Division, led the charge in orchestrating this inspiring rally. Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, spearheaded the event alongside Divisional Forest Officer Doda, Ravinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development, Phulail Singh, and a cadre of dedicated forest officers and staff.
