In line with the Election Commission of India’s initiative, the Doda district election office has embarked on a proactive campaign aimed at familiarizing voters with the operation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) systems during elections.

District Election Officer Harvinder Singh ceremoniously flagged off the EVM and VVPAT Demonstration Van today, symbolizing the commencement of its journey throughout the district to raise awareness about the proper use of these technologies.

The launch event saw the presence of various officers and officials from the Doda district election office.This initiative is designed to provide practical training to the public and voters on the utilization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

Additionally, participants will be educated on the verification process for their cast votes using the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT). The mobile demonstration unit will traverse the district, actively engaging communities and disseminating crucial information on the significance and functionality of EVMs and VVPATs in the electoral process.
