Ashraf, who took over the PCB chief role from Najam Sethi in June the previous year, made the announcement following a tenure marked by challenges and disappointments.

During the committee meeting, Ashraf expressed gratitude to PCB members and Patron Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar for their support.
