Congress President Kharge Criticizes BJP Over Unfulfilled Job Promises

Addressing the ‘Nyay Sankalp Workers’ Convention, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the BJP, alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantee is not to fulfill the promised 2 crore jobs per year. Kharge labeled Modi as ‘Jhuthon ka Sardar’ (leader of lies) for unfulfilled promises, including the commitment to provide Rs 15 lakh to everyone. He emphasized the upcoming elections as a fight to save the Constitution and democracy, warning that a BJP victory would lead to permanent subservience to PM Modi. Kharge also highlighted the soaring prices, particularly the LPG cylinder, and expressed concern over decreasing employment opportunities in the country.

Congress President Warns of Permanent Subservience to PM Modi

Mallikarjun Kharge cautioned that if the BJP returns to power, citizens would become permanently subservient to Prime Minister Modi. He emphasized the importance of fighting firmly against the BJP in the upcoming elections to protect the interests of youth, women, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other communities. Kharge criticized the Modi government for vacant government posts, highlighting the adverse impact on various sections of society. He contrasted this with Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s establishment of public sectors, which created employment opportunities during the Congress-led UPA term.

Concerns Over Rising Prices and Decreasing Employment Opportunities

Kharge raised concerns about rising prices, specifically noting the steep increase in the cost of an LPG cylinder during PM Modi’s tenure. He criticized the government for not fulfilling promises related to job creation, citing the 30 lakh vacant government posts. Kharge attributed the government’s reluctance to fill these posts to the fear that SC/ST, poor, and backward people would occupy these positions, revealing a lack of inclusive policies in the recruitment process.
