CMO Doda pays surprise visit to Primary Health Centre Prem Nagar

DODA, March 30: To assess the quality health services and patient care, the Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Om Kumar on 29-03-2024 paid a surprise visit to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Prem Nagar in Block Thathri and inspected various sections of the hospital and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients there.

During his visit, the CMO reviewed the healthcare facilities, infrastructure, staff attendance and interacted with the staff.CMO Doda, while inspecting the staff attendance found one Medical Officer absent from his legitimate duties and taking serious note, CMO sought explanation from the absent MO, moreover he also checked the hospital record of different nature and directed the staff to maintain proper cleanliness and hygiene in and around the hospital.

CMO Doda stated that the purpose of these surprise visits was to ensure accountability and punctuality among the health staff and to improve the quality of healthcare services, whereas he also reiterated that such inspections will continue in future and dereliction of duties and responsibilities including unauthorized absence will not be tolerated at all.

Meanwhile, he also advised the health care professionals all over the District especially in rural and far flung areas to uphold the grace of this noble profession and deliver their best services to mankind in their respective areas.
