Chain Singh Triumphs with Three Golds at National Shooting Championship
Indian shooting star Chain Singh has recently clinched three gold medals at the 66th National Shooting Championship in New Delhi, marking a significant achievement in his already illustrious career.
In a remarkable display of skill, Singh set a new national record in the 50-meter rifle prone event. This achievement adds another feather to his cap, showcasing his exceptional talent in precision shooting.
A Journey of Success
Hailing from the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, Chain Singh has an impressive history of accolades. He earned a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions event. Additionally, he secured an individual gold medal at the 7th Asian Airgun Championship in Kuwait and bagged six gold medals at the 2016 South Asian Games, three in individual and three in team events.
From Army to Ace Shooter
Singh’s journey in shooting began in 2007 when he joined the Indian Army. His training and discipline from the army have been pivotal in his rise to becoming one of India’s top shooters. His recent triumph in New Delhi is a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport.
