CCIU Doda Recovers Defrauded Amount of Rs. 1,48,654

Doda, October 11: In a recent statement from J&K Police District Doda, it was announced that the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) has successfully recovered an online defrauded amount of Rs. 1,48,654. The unit, known for its professionalism and technical expertise, achieved this success while combating cybercrime in the region.

The case involved two complainants:

1. Nasreena Begum, wife of Amir Hussain, Doda.
2. Feroz Ahmed Dar, son of Gh Mohd Dar, resident of Malpura, Tehsil Berwah, District Budgam, currently residing in Doda.

Through advanced investigative techniques and dedicated efforts, the CCIU team was able to recover the defrauded sum.

Established on February 7, 2024, the CCIU of Doda has recovered a total of Rs. 26,26,688 in various cyber fraud cases since its inception.

SSP Doda, Mohd Aslam IPS, has once again urged the public to stay vigilant against cybercrime. He encouraged people to promptly report any suspicious activities by calling the National Helpline number 1930 or lodging complaints online at www.cybercrime.gov.in. For lost or stolen mobile phones, complaints can be filed at www.ceir.gov.in.
