BPTP Expands Leadership Team with Appointment of Rakesh Kaushik as President—Legal

BPTP, Indian real estate company, has announced the appointment of Rakesh Kaushik as President – Legal. This strategic hire is aimed at further strengthening BPTP’s leadership team.  

Kaushik brings over three decades of experience in corporate legal practice, both domestically and internationally. His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including corporate laws, compliance, risk management, litigation strategy, complex contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, SEBI compliance, and corporate secretarial practices.  

Throughout his career, Kaushik has been instrumental in developing and implementing strategies and policies to facilitate smooth business operations and expansion within a risk-controlled environment. He has also advised boards on legal and regulatory risks, mitigation strategies, governance, and best practices across various sectors such as Telecom, FMCG, Healthcare, and Infrastructure.  

In his new role at BPTP, Kaushik will be responsible for leading the company’s legal function. His key responsibilities will include overseeing litigation strategy and management, developing a robust compliance framework, driving risk mitigation initiatives, leading negotiations and contracts, and supporting key legal functions aligned with BPTP’s operations, expansion plans, and growth trajectory.

Kaushik holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (FCS). Prior to joining BPTP, he served as Director – Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Max Healthcare Institute Limited, where he led the legal and regulatory function. His career also includes a prominent stint with Bharti Airtel Limited, where he led the legal and regulatory risk and assurance functions globally, as well as key legal roles at Hindustan Unilever Limited, RJ Corp, American Tower (formerly VIOM), Usha International, and Artemis Medicare.
