Bootlegger Held With Illict Liquor In Kastigarh Area of Doda
Doda Police has apprehended one bootlegger with huge quantity of illicit liquor from his possession in Kastigarh area of Doda.
Giving details Doda Police said that a Naka team of Police Post Kastigarh while conducting checking /frisking of vehicles at main market Kastigarh, intercepted one vehicle (TATA Mobile) bearing registration No. JK06B-3176. During search huge quantity of illicit liquor was recovered from the possession of driver. On questioning, the driver disclosed his identity as Mukhtiyar Ahmed son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Kastigarh Doda.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 65/2024 under relevant section has been registered at Police Station Doda and investigation of the case has been taken up. Doda police has launched special drive against bootleggers /drug smugglers to eradicate the menace of drug peddling, manufacturing/ selling of illicit liquor, bovine smuggling and appealing the general public to cooperate with Police and provide information/ inputs if any drug smuggling /selling of illicit liquor /bovine smuggling or any kind of criminal activity is noticed in their neighborhood for real time response of Police.
