Rajasthan Chief Minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, chaired a crucial meeting with Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) Limited officials, focusing on the forthcoming metro expansion. He emphasized the need for a fresh Detailed Project Report (DPR) for extending the metro from Sitapura to Ambabadi and Vidyadhar Nagar.
Commitment to Seamless Transportation: Jaipur Metro as a National Model
During the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Office, CM Sharma underscored the state government’s dedication to providing efficient transportation in Jaipur. He envisioned Jaipur Metro as a national model, stating, “Providing easy transportation facilities to the people of Jaipur is the priority of the state government. Keeping this in mind, Jaipur Metro should be developed as a model metro across the country.”
Strategic Steps for Phase 1-D: Laying the Foundation Stone and Inclusive Connectivity
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma urged swift action in laying the foundation stone for Phase 1-D of Jaipur Metro, connecting Mansarovar to the Ajmer Road intersection on the 200-foot bypass. This phase, integral to the 100-day action plan, aims to enhance connectivity in the city. Sharma stressed the importance of meticulous financial planning to optimize resources and deliver superior transportation facilities to the public.
Incorporating Crowded Areas and Future Expansion: Sharma’s Forward-Thinking Approach
Sharma directed officials to incorporate major crowded areas of the city into Jaipur Metro’s connectivity. Additionally, he urged consideration of future expansion possibilities to accommodate the city’s growing needs.
