Bangladesh Defeats India, UAE Upsets Pakistan to Enter U-19 Asia Cup Final
In a historic turn of events, the UAE has made its maiden entry into the final of the Asia Cup, creating waves by defeating formidable opponents.
Their journey includes a remarkable victory over Sri Lanka, marking the first win against a Test-playing nation.
They also managed to bowl out Pakistan for 182 after setting a target of 194, securing an 11-run triumph in the semi-finals. Skipper Ayan Afzal Khan emerged as the star, contributing both with the bat and ball.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s Under-19 team, renowned for their prowess since clinching the 2020 U-19 World Cup, has secured a place in their second ACC Under-19 Asia Cup final.
Their journey remains unblemished, winning every match in the group stage and continuing their dominance by outclassing India in the semi-final.
Maruf Mridha’s left-arm fast bowling rattled the Indian batting line-up, restricting them to a chaseable total of 188.
Bangladesh chased it down comfortably with Ariful Islam leading the charge with a robust 94 runs.
This sets the stage for an intense finale between UAE and Bangladesh, scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 17, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The clash promises an exciting battle as both teams vie for the prestigious title in this highly anticipated showdown.
