Azad Calls for Immediate Restoration of JK Statehood

In a recent rally held in Aishmuqam area of Anantnag district, DPAP Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad emphasized the urgency of restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted the commitment made by the Prime Minister and Home Minister in Parliament to return the statehood, clarifying that their assurance was contingent on holding assembly elections in the Union territory.

Azad expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s decision to defer the restoration until after the assembly elections. He argued for immediate action, citing the absence of a specified timeframe, stating, “After the elections can be a long time later. But it should be done immediately.”
