Atrocities in Balochistan: Sui Town Labor Quarters Sealed, 150 Reportedly Detained
The Baloch Republican Party has brought attention to alleged atrocities committed by the Pakistan Army, claiming that the labor quarters in Sui town, Dera Bugti district, have been sealed by enforcement agencies. According to the party’s spokesperson, Sher Mohammad Bugti, more than 150 people, including laborers and their families, have been taken into custody at the Sui Gas field. The party asserts that this is another tactic by the “deep state” to manipulate upcoming “elections” and highlights the ongoing issue of abductions and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan.
Balochistan’s Cry Against Injustice: No Elections, Only Selection
Sher Mohammad Bugti, in a social media post, denounces the alleged election process in Balochistan, referring to it as mere selection orchestrated by the ISI and the Pakistani army. The post contends that there is no need for such drama, as the state can select its candidates without engaging in these actions, emphasizing the longstanding call against the injustices faced by the Baloch community.
CPEC Route Blockade: Baloch Students’ Abduction Sparks Major Protest
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route is currently blocked by family members of three abducted Baloch students – Aslam, Hammal, and Bahadur Chakar. The abduction has turned into a major protest, with the Baloch community demanding the recovery of the students. Despite ongoing demonstrations and calls for human rights intervention, Balochistan continues to face what the community labels as “Baloch genocide” and severe human rights violations perpetrated by the state.
