Assam Chief Minister Criticizes INDIA Alliance, Calls It a Soap Opera
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma criticized the INDIA Alliance, comparing it to a soap opera that provides entertainment without any organic policy. Sarma stated that the alliance, formed to oppose Prime Minister Modi, lacks value and long-term impact. He launched a blistering attack on the Congress, accusing the party of committing sins and conspiring against the construction of the Ram Temple. Sarma criticized the Congress for its alleged affinity towards Babur and claimed that only those with faith in Lord Ram should have been invited to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. He mocked the opposition alliance, highlighting Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s flip-flop on the convenor post and predicting continued entertainment news from the alliance. Sharad Pawar, participating in the INDIA bloc leaders’ meeting, mentioned that everyone suggested Nitish Kumar for the convenor post, but the JD(U) leader preferred the current convenor to continue.
