Armed Forces Showcase Prowess on India’s 75th Republic Day
On India’s 75th Republic Day, the Kartavya Path in the national capital witnessed a display of the armed forces’ prowess. The parade commenced with the 61 Cavalry, the only active Horse Cavalry Regiment globally, led by Maj Yashdeep Ahlawat. The event celebrated the Indian Armed Forces’ dedicated service, ensuring stability along the Line of Control, Line of Actual Control, and global UN Peacekeeping missions.
Weapon Systems Showcased in Republic Day Parade
The Republic Day parade featured various weapon systems, including the T-90 Bhishma Tank, Nag anti-tank guided missiles, Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers, and the SWATHI Weapon Locating Radar System. The T-90 Bhishma Tank, led by Lt Fayz Singh Dhillon, demonstrated its capabilities as a third-generation Russian Main Battle Tank with advanced features like thermal imaging sight and ERA panels.
All-Terrain Vehicles and Specialist Vehicles on Display
The parade showcased modern specialist vehicles, such as Quick Reaction Force Vehicles, Light Specialist Vehicle, Vehicle Mounted Infantry Mortar System, and All-terrain vehicles. Led by Major Toofan Singh Chauhan and other officers, these vehicles demonstrated mobility and versatility, addressing various challenges in different terrains.
Drone Jammer System and Advance Radio Frequency Monitoring System
The parade featured the Mobile Drone Jammer System and Advance Radio Frequency Monitoring System, highlighting the Corps of Signals’ capabilities. Led by Lt Col Ankita Chauhan, the Drone Jammer System detects, tracks, and neutralizes hostile drone activities, showcasing the Indian Army’s technological advancements in countering modern threats.
