Apni Party Gears Up for Lok Sabha Polls in Jammu and Kashmir
As the Lok Sabha elections approach, Apni Party, a relatively new political entity in Jammu and Kashmir, is poised to enter the political arena with a determined spirit. The party, founded with the mission to alleviate the challenges faced by the people of the region, is gearing up to contest in all five Parliamentary constituencies.
President’s Optimistic Vision
Expressing his optimism, Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari articulated, “Since its inception, our endeavor has been to ease the hardships encountered by the people of the region. We hope for widespread support and votes from the length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming Parliamentary elections.”
Fielding Candidates Across the Region
Bukhari further confirmed that the party is prepared to field candidates in all five Parliamentary constituencies during the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls. “We are ready to contest the Parliamentary polls, and candidates will be fielded from all five constituencies,” he asserted.
Awaiting ECI’s Visit for Candidate Announcement
However, the President emphasized that the official announcement of candidates would be disclosed after the visit of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to Jammu and Kashmir. “The list has been finalized and will be made public after the ECI’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir,” Bukhari added.
ECI’s Crucial Role in Decision-Making
Highlighting the significance of the ECI’s visit, Bukhari stated, “Let the Election Commission of India finish its visit to Jammu and Kashmir. The visit aims to ascertain the security and administrative situation ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. There is a possibility that the ECI might opt for simultaneous Parliamentary and Assembly polls. Apni Party will unveil the candidate list once ECI completes its crucial visit.”
The Election Commission of India is scheduled to conduct a comprehensive review during its two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on March 12 and 13, assessing the feasibility of simultaneous Assembly elections along with the Parliamentary polls in the Union Territory.
