APCCs Quick Response Team (QRT) Ready for Immediate Action
In response to the recent departure of key leaders, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has taken a strategic step by establishing a Quick Response Team (QRT). This team aims to swiftly address situations of imminent conflict or controversy, ensuring the party’s ability to respond promptly.
Formation of QRT Under the Guidance of AICC’s Media Department
Bipul Gogoi, APCC General Secretary (Organization), issued an order stating that the QRT was constituted as per the directive of Pawan Khera, Chairperson of the Media Department at AICC. Bhupen Kumar Borah, President of Assam PCC, played a pivotal role in establishing this team. The QRT’s primary objective is to provide immediate insights in urgent situations until a comprehensive response or narrative is formulated by the party.
Strategic Objectives and Responsibilities Outlined for QRT
Gogoi emphasized the QRT’s role in responding promptly to conflicts and controversies while following due direction. The team is tasked with offering essential insights on relevant state issues to both the APCC and AICC. This proactive approach aims to strengthen the party’s communication strategy during critical moments.
Meet the Eight Members of APCC’s Quick Response Team
Comprising eight members, the QRT includes prominent figures such as Bharat Narah, MLA; Pranatee Phukan, Ex-Minister and VP, APCC; Shibamoni Bora, MLA; Nabajyoti Talukdar, VP, APCC; Deep Bayan, President, APCSD; Mira Borthakur Goswami, President, APMC; Gopal Sarma, GS, Media Dept, APCC; and Abdul Aziz, Spokesperson, APCC. These individuals bring a diverse range of experiences and expertise to the team.
Amid recent political shifts, including two MLAs extending support to the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led Assam government and leaders joining the BJP, the QRT’s role becomes crucial in maintaining the party’s resilience. Additionally, the resignation of a former leader from the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) adds to the challenges faced by the Congress party in the region.
