Ananya Panday Breaks Stereotypes, Champions Female Camaraderie and Success with ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan
Ananya Panday has received acclaim for her performance in the Netflix film “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.” In an interview with News18, the actress expressed her satisfaction with the positive feedback received from her female contemporaries, including Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon. Dismissing any attempts to pit her against her peers, Ananya emphasized her excellent relationships with most of them and asserted her willingness to take on two-heroine projects.
Addressing the misconception that women do not support each other, Ananya proudly declared herself as the ‘flag bearer of women being friends with each other.’ She shared that after watching “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan,” Alia Bhatt and Mrunal Thakur reached out, and Kriti Sanon sent a supportive message. Ananya challenged the external perception that women don’t back each other and pointed out that she has only encountered supportive female friends throughout her career. She highlighted her positive experiences working with co-stars in two-girl films, including Tara Sutaria in “Student of the Year 2,” Bhumi Pednekar in “Pati Patni Aur Woh,” and Deepika Padukone in “Gehraiyaan.”
Reflecting on how she celebrated the success of “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan,” Ananya shared that she, along with the entire team, felt proud and happy after the film’s release. She celebrated by disconnecting from the hustle and bustle, considering it the best way to honor a film like this. Ananya spent quality time in London with Aditya Roy Kapur, welcoming the New Year while rebooting and reflecting on her life with her close-knit circle.
“Kho Gaye Hum Kahan” features Ananya Panday as Ahana, alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav.
