Amitabh Bachchan expressed heartfelt emotions for his son, Abhishek Bachchan, following the success of his recent film, Ghoomer, which clinched three awards at a prestigious ceremony. On Sunday, Amitabh took to Instagram to share the movie’s poster, featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, accompanied by a touching note.
In the note, Amitabh conveyed, “My prayers, my admiration, and love to you Abhishek… you make me so proud… most deserving… not just this, but many more past, present, and future.” As the post surfaced, fans and industry members flooded the comment section with reactions. Abhishek responded with hands emojis, while one fan exclaimed, “Awesome movie, a must-watch.”
Ghoomer, directed by R Balki, stars Abhishek, Saiyami Kher, Angad Bedi, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Released on August 18 last year, the film revolves around Abhishek’s character, a coach whose life takes an unexpected turn upon encountering a paraplegic sportsperson played by Saiyami Kher. The narrative unfolds against societal challenges and personal struggles, showcasing R Balki’s distinctive storytelling prowess.
After watching Ghoomer, Amitabh shared his sincere review of the film, praising its emotional depth. He commended R Balki’s direction, stating, “It is the simplicity of the way the narration occurs… the deftness with which R Balki has knitted before us, in the simplest manner, a most complex idea.” He reflected on the theme of winners and losers, tying it to the universal human experience of facing failure and striving for success.
Amitabh concluded with appreciation for the film’s creative portrayal of life’s challenges, emphasizing the importance of breaking barriers to achieve one’s goals. Amitabh Bachchan is set to appear in the sci-fi action thriller film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Deepika Padukone and Prabhas, with a courtroom drama film titled Section 84 also in the pipeline.
