
Amid the Blockage of Iranian Ports, United States Considering Fresh Round of Talks as Ceasefire Deadline Draws Closer
WASHINGTON, April 14, 2026 (VoM News): On one side, the United States has initiated the move to block Iranian ports and is keeping an eye on vessels leaving or entering the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman to pressurize Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, while on the other side, the United States is also considering a fresh round of talks, as per reports received by VoM News.
As the ceasefire deadline draws closer, tensions have started to accelerate in the region, impacting the global economy. Officials say that the United States is considering a fresh round of talks with Iranian representatives.
An official stated that possible venues and timings are being reviewed; however, the final decision is yet to be taken. This could be a successor to the last round of talks held in Islamabad, Pakistan, which failed.
The venues of Islamabad and Geneva are being mentioned as per unofficial reports, which could not be verified by VoM News.
Now, every country across the globe is looking for a go-ahead, as the global economy is getting impacted. As the ceasefire deadline looms near, gripping tensions in the region, it is likely that both sides might consider an extension of the deadline if a way out is found.
