Amid AI Push, LinkedIn Names Daniel Shapero as New CEO
VoM News Desk, April 23: The global giant platform LinkedIn, in its latest move, has appointed Daniel Shapero as its new Chief Executive Officer, as reported by Reuters.
This step was taken by LinkedIn as a change in leadership to replace Ryan Roslansky, aimed at steering the platform through an AI-driven course in the global workforce.
Shapero, who has a long history as a company executive, joined LinkedIn in 2008.
He had previously served as Chief Operating Officer. His elevation comes as the company looks to expand its role in a rapidly evolving professional landscape shaped by technological advancement through artificial intelligence.
The giant platform LinkedIn, owned by Microsoft, has grown to over 1.3 billion members globally and contributed about 6.3 percent to Microsoft’s annual revenue in 2025.
Roslansky, the outgoing CEO, noted that artificial intelligence is expected to significantly reshape how people work and build careers in the coming years.
As part of the leadership changes, Mohak Shroff has been named President of Platforms and Digital Work.
