ADDC Sets Plan for Viksit-Bharat-Sankalp Yatra in Doda
DODA, November 17 – Pran Singh, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Doda and the designated Nodal Officer for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in District Doda, has finalized the action plan for the smooth execution of the upcoming Yatra scheduled to take place from November 15 to January 26, 2024. In a recent workshop held at the Conference Hall of the DC office complex, attended by district officers, sectorial officers, and block development officers from across the district, along with virtual participation from outstation block development officers and executive officers of municipal councils, the district administration geared up for the Yatra’s rollout. The primary objective of the workshop was to raise awareness and ensure the successful implementation of centrally sponsored schemes.
During the meeting, the ADDC underscored the significance of flagship schemes, instructing all district officers to produce videos highlighting government-sponsored initiatives within a specified timeframe. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to reaffirm a commitment to a developed India by 2047, with a particular focus on reaching vulnerable populations to maximize the impact of various centrally sponsored schemes. The government is deploying 107 mobile Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans to cover 4291 Panchayats in Jammu and Kashmir over a span of 20 days. The ADDC emphasized the importance of effectively promoting these schemes and urged officers to stay abreast of the latest data on beneficiaries and scheme coverage.

As part of the Yatra, a Digital Van will traverse panchayats and municipal wards, disseminating the Prime Minister’s message and hosting promotional events. The district administration has meticulously planned the schedule, assigning specific duties to Nodal Officers for a seamless and successful Yatra. The ADDC instructed district officers, virtually connected block development officers, and principals to adhere to the prescribed dates and schedules for creating videos on key topics related to sponsored schemes.
The Yatra will cover five clusters, with major events slated for Doda and Bhaderwah, showcasing success stories from various departments.The ADDC also conveyed that video submissions highlighting success stories in the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes are integral to the Yatra and called for active participation from all stakeholders in this regard.
