Accident on Jammu-Srinagar Highway Near Shabanbass Banihal: One Dead, Many Injured
In a tragic turn of events, a tempo traveler, bearing the registration number JK14A-9438, was on its journey from Jammu to Srinagar when it met with a collision at Shabanbass Banihal.
Officials reported that a fatal collision between a vehicle and a truck on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district resulted in one fatality and eleven injuries.
The incident occurred late on Wednesday when a tempo traveller, en route to Srinagar from Jammu, collided with a truck traveling in the opposite direction in the Shabanbass area of Banihal. The tempo traveller was carrying 16 passengers, including 12 tourists from Kerala.
Tragically, one passenger succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while eleven others sustained minor injuries. Emergency services swiftly transported the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.
