Abhishek Dalhor Shines as Majhi Mumbai Tops Points Table
In a spectacular display of all-round performance by birthday boy Abhishek Dalhor, Majhi Mumbai defeated Falcon Risers Hyderabad by 33 runs, securing the top spot in the points standing of the Indian Street Premier League T10 tennis ball cricket tournament. The victory showcased Dalhor’s exceptional skills, contributing significantly to his team’s success.
Pioneering Tennis Cricket League’s Mission
The Indian Street Premier League – T10 stands as a pioneering Tennis Cricket League with a mission to unearth, nurture, and elevate cricket talent from grassroots levels. The league aims to bring together the best local cricket talent in India, providing a comprehensive platform for players to exhibit their skills and make a mark in the cricketing world.
Dalhor’s Birthday Brilliance Rescues Majhi Mumbai
Facing a challenging situation after a batting collapse in their previous match against the Tigers of Kolkata, Majhi Mumbai needed a stellar performance to bounce back. Opting to bat after winning the toss, Mumbai faced early setbacks but found a savior in Abhishek Dalhor. His explosive innings of 61 runs off 19 balls, combined with Ajaz Qureshi’s contribution (22 off 21 balls), led Majhi Mumbai to score 104 runs in the last five overs. This remarkable turnaround resulted in the team reaching a formidable total of 128 for 4, marking the second-highest score in the tournament.
Dominant Bowling Seals the Victory
As the target was set, Falcon Risers Hyderabad faced a formidable bowling attack from Majhi Mumbai. Despite Vivek Mohanan’s commendable effort with 43 runs in 21 balls, once dismissed by Dalhor, Hyderabad struggled to find big hits and were eventually bowled out for 95 runs. Dalhor’s bowling performance, with figures of 2 for 33, and Basharat Wani’s three wickets for 17 runs, showcased Majhi Mumbai’s dominance on both ends of the game. Ravi Gupta’s exceptional bowling, not conceding a single run in the two overs he bowled with the tape ball, further added to the team’s resounding victory.*
