Two Indian-Flagged Vessels Fired Upon in Strait of Hormuz, New Delhi Summons Iranian Ambassador
NEW DELHI, APRIL 18 (VoM News): Amid rising concerns in the crucial global energy route, two Indian-flagged vessels came under attack from an Iranian gunboat along the waterway.
After the incident came into the limelight, New Delhi summoned the Iranian ambassador.
As the two vessels were crossing the crucial energy route following Iran’s earlier decision to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for shipping, Tehran, in its latest move, blocked the waterway again.
One of the vessels was carrying millions of barrels of Iraqi oil and was designed for long-haul crude transport.
