67 Militants Killed in Coordinated Attacks Across Balochistan, says Pakistan
At least 67 militants were killed on Saturday during coordinated attacks and clashes with Pakistan’s security forces across several cities in Balochistan, according to security officials.
The violence also claimed the lives of 10 police and security personnel and 11 civilians, while 24 police officers were injured. The banned separatist group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attacks, which targeted urban areas including Quetta and Gwadar.
In Gwadar, militants attacked a camp housing migrant workers, killing 11 people, including women and children. Security forces responded swiftly, killing six militants in the area.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attacks and praised security forces for foiling the assault. Clearance and search operations are ongoing across the province.
