EPC Mode of Contract for Construction
The review meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Sarma, included the participation of Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, registered contractors, and empanelled architects and engineers from the Public Works Department (PWD). The meeting’s primary focus was to assess the progress of constructing 126 new secondary schools in the state through the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode of contract.Education Minister Pegu confirmed that these 4,000 schools would be constructed using the EPC mode of contract.
This approach is expected to expedite the construction of secondary schools throughout the state, helping to meet the educational needs of Assam’s population.
The Assam government’s commitment to strengthening the educational infrastructure is a significant step towards providing quality education and opportunities to the youth of the state.
