CEO Doda Issues Recovery Plan After Weather-Related School Closures
Doda, Aug 30: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Doda has issued fresh instructions to schools across the district, directing teaching staff and heads of institutions to ensure recovery of academic losses caused by prolonged rainfall and frequent weather-related closures.
According to the order, the incessant rains this academic session have severely disrupted instructional time, leaving students with considerable academic exposure gaps. To address this, the CEO emphasized that teachers must put in additional efforts to complete the prescribed syllabus within the limited time available. Extra classes, remedial sessions, and extended teaching hours have been permitted wherever necessary, with a renewed focus on core concepts and competencies to prepare students for examinations.

The order also highlights the need to strengthen the teaching–learning process through participatory and student-centered methods, regular classroom assessments in the form of short weekly tests, oral quizzes, and written assignments, along with home assignments in test format to reinforce classroom learning.
For the preparation and conduct of examinations, the CEO announced that question papers for all non-board classes will be finalized by a district-level committee to ensure a fair, transparent, and uniform examination process across the district. The performance of students in final examinations will be treated as an indicator of the seriousness and effectiveness of the teaching staff.
Any unsatisfactory results due to negligence, lack of commitment, or ineffective teaching will attract strict disciplinary action, including the withholding of one annual increment of the concerned teachers. Zonal Education Officers and Heads of Institutions have been directed to monitor compliance closely to ensure smooth academic recovery.
