    Kathua Police Foils Bovine Smuggling Attempt At Hatli

    Kathua, February 20: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, J&K Police Kathua has foiled bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Post Hatli and rescued 14 bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers. The vehicle used for illegal transportation of bovines was also seized.

    An information was received at Police Post Industrial Estates Hatli from reliable sources regarding smuggling of bovines in a Truck(Blue Dart) bearing registration No. PB10ES-3201 coming from Kathua side.

    Acting on information, a Police team headed by PSI Subham Mahajan IC PP Hatli under the guidance of DySP Hqrs Kathua and SHO PS Kathua successfully intercepted the said truck at Hatli NHW for its checking. During checking, 14 bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. All the rescued bovines(14 bovines i.e 09 cows and 05 oxen) have been shifted to a safer place.
