Non-Local Woman Arrested for Illegal Liquor Sale in Kanachak – Jammu

Jammu, 19-02-2025.

Jammu police acting tough against illegal sale of liquor,arrested a woman in the Kanachak area of Jammu for allegedly selling liquor illegally from a hut. Acting on a tip-off, the local police conducted a raid and apprehended the accused, identified as Lila Devi, wife of Ram Rishudev. She hails from Khaniavaad, Fatehpur, District Kishanganj, Bihar, and was residing in Kanachak.

During the search, authorities recovered 34 quarters of JK Special Whiskey (each 180 ml) from her possession. A case has been registered against her under relevant sections at Kanachak Police Station.

The police have intensified their crackdown on illegal liquor trade in the region and continue their investigation into the matter.
