JK Team Seals Quarter-Final Spot in Ranji Trophy, Defeats Baroda by 182 Runs

The Jammu Kashmir team secured its seat in the quarter-finals of the Ranji Trophy after defeating Baroda by 182 runs.

Earlier, on the day, the Jammu Kashmir team won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first, the Jammu Kashmir team posted a first-inning total of 246 runs, with top scores of Kanhaiya Wadhawan 71 (94).

Paras Dogra scored 43 (69) followed by 284 runs in the second inning of the match, thus setting a challenging target of 365 runs for the Baroda team.

For Jammu Kashmir, Shubham Khajuria 94 (178) and Kanhaiya Wadhawan 84 (122) were the top scorers in its second inning.

Ninad Rathva picked up a five-wicket haul with figures of 10.3-43-5, whereas Mahesh Pithiya returned with figures of 21-62-3 in the first inning of the game.

The Baroda team got all out on 166 runs in the first inning and struggled completely. Shivalik Sharma 64(195).

Bhargav Bhatt (27) and 29 were the top scorers of the Baroda team in the first inning. For Jammu, Abid Mushtaq and Sahil Lotra picked threes and fours, respectively.

Sahil Lotra and Abid Mushtaq bundled the Baroda team on 182 runs in 54.5 overs. Abid Mushtaq picks three wickets, where Sahil Lotra picked seven wickets, respectively.

Following this spectacular win over Baroda, the Jammu Kashmir team secures its seat in the quarter-finals.
