Two Police Officers Found Dead in Udhampur, Suspected To Be Fratricide, Suicide

Jammu, December 08: Two cops were found dead in a suspected fraticide incident at Zero Morh area in Udhampur district on Sunday.
Taking on micro-blogging platform X, Udhampur police wrote, ” Today PSRehembal received an info. that 2policemen from sopore travelling towards STCTalwara in a dept.vehicle have suffered bullet injuries due to firing.Initial investigation reveals that its a case of fratricide& suicide.Further Investigation is underway, Says the post.
Meanwhile official sources told GNS that today early morning one vehicle bearing registration number JK05E-4703 driven by constable Manjeet Singh was travelling from Sopore to Talwara Reasi along with two other cops namely Harmeet Singh and Head constable Malik.

When the vehicle reached near Kali Mata Mandir Rehambal Udhampur, Head constable Malik shot at constable(driver) Ranjeet Singh after some argument and then afterwards shoot himself resulting in the death to both said cops.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up.(GNS)
