Ban on Fuel Sale to Traffic Violators in Doda; Order Issued
Keeping the road safety in priority, and reduce road accidents, District Administration Doda on Monday, has issued an order releasing the directives under Section 163 of BNSS, for the fuel sale to traffic Violators for the period of two months.
As per directives, Now, no fuel sale will be served to minors/under 18 age, riding any vehicles. Without helmet, no rider will be provided the fuel sale, making the wearing of crash helmet mandatory. Only those would be provided fuel by filling stations, who would posses the valid driving license.
The petrol pumps owners have been directed to install CCTV camera, and officers would be authorised to inspect the footages to dealt with violators. It has been strictly informed to petrol pumps owners, if anyone served fuel, by violating the rules, would be subjected to law provision.

As in recent days, Doda has witnessed several accidents, where minors have also been witnessed driving the vehicles without wearing the crash helmets, license. Also, on different spots on highways,acts of stunt driving was also witnessed.
In this regard, Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, has been directed to implement this order in letter and spirit
