“Services of Creation is the Services of Creator”: Sout Ul Furqan School Marmat Organizes Debate Competition in Collaboration with JK Yateem Foundation
GOHA (MARMAT): A debate competition on the topic “Services of Creation is the Services of Creator” was organized at Sout Ul Furqan Public School, Prabble, Marmat (Doda). The event was organised by the school management in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir Yateem Foundation (a prominent NGO) and was graced by several dignitaries, including Tehsil and District Representatives, a legal advisor, and others.
Students from various schools delivered powerful speeches on the topic. Adding to the event’s impact, a skit led by Ayan’s team emphasized the importance of charity. The skit delivered a poignant message: while helping the needy, one should ensure that charity work does not bring discomfort or humiliation to others. The kids creatively underscored the well-known saying, “Keep the camera and showpiece away while doing charity.”
Participants such as Ifrah Imtiaz, Nadia Farooq, Ruhan ul Islam Salaria, and Musarrat Hussain referenced various religious teachings to highlight the importance of helping humanity. Nadia Farooq quoted an ayah emphasizing the contentment derived from charity work, while Sanjana drew from Hindu teachings about service to humanity. Speeches also included references to inspiring stories of renowned personalities, showcasing their service to humanity.
Students from schools across Roat, Bari, Moothi, and Goha participated, making it a vibrant and engaging event. Speeches and presentations captivated the audience, and students were awarded medals and appreciation certificates for their efforts. The program was seamlessly anchored by Dr. Anyatullah.
Dignitaries present at the event included; Mehmood Riaz, Financial Advisor, JK Yateem Foundation, Mohd Iqbal, Divisional Representative, Srinagar, Javed Iqbal Qazi, District Representative, Doda, Sajid Sarmadi, Tehsil Representative, Bhaderwah, Hafiz Wani, Chairman, Sout Ul Furqan Public School Marmat, and Ghulam Hussain Wani, Principal, Sout Ul Furqan Public School. Students, local people from different walks of society makes their presence in this thought-motivating programme.
At the conclusion, the Financial Secretary of JK Yateem Foundation shed light on the foundation’s initiatives, such as scholarships and widow welfare programs. He commended the participation of students from various schools and urged the audience to work towards removing hatred from society while helping the needy without bias of caste or religion. The event concluded with the distribution of appreciation certificates and medals to the participants.
