Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha hosted a special event at Raj Bhawan today to honor the Paris 2024 Paralympics bronze medalists, Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar. Both athletes, hailing from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, were recognized for their stellar achievements in archery, which have brought pride to the entire nation.
During the ceremony, the Lt Governor congratulated the para-archers and praised their incredible performance on the international stage. He highlighted their dedication, resilience, and hard work, which led to their success at the prestigious games in Paris.
The Lt Governor further expressed how their outstanding achievements serve as a source of inspiration for the younger generation of athletes in the country.
“Your exceptional performance will continue to motivate and inspire countless aspiring athletes across the nation,” said the Lt Governor while interacting with the champions.
In addition to recognizing the athletes, the Lt Governor also felicitated their Archery Coach, Abhilasha Chaudhary, for her vital role in guiding and mentoring the athletes to victory. He extended his best wishes to the entire team for their future endeavors, hoping they would continue to bring more laurels to the country.
Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer of SMVDSB, along with other senior officers of the Shrine Board, were also present at the felicitation ceremony to honor the achievements of the para-archers and their coach.
