SVEEP Awareness and PTM Events Promote Electoral Literacy in Doda District

Doda, August 27: The Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program, in collaboration with Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM), conducted awareness activities at schools in Doda District.

The Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) awareness programs are currently being implemented in Doda District, under the guidance of District Election Officer Harvinder Singh and under overall supervision of Chief Education Officer Doda Parkash Lal Thapa who is also a Nodal Officer SVEEP.

The today’s sport activities and PTM event aimed to educate students, teachers, and parents about the importance of voting, electoral processes, and civic engagement

The initiatives are being carried out across the district, with a focus on engaging citizens and promoting electoral literacy.

The SVEEP awareness activities included interactive sessions, quizzes, and discussions on electoral literacy, inter house sports activities and the significance of participating in the democratic process.

The PTM sessions provided a platform for parents, teachers, and students to discuss ways to promote electoral awareness and encourage young voters to exercise their franchise.

By conducting these activities, SVEEP and PTM aimed to empower the community, especially young voters, to become informed and active participants in the electoral process.

The ongoing SVEEP awareness programs in Doda District are expected to make a positive impact on electoral participation and civic engagement in the region
