DODA, AUGUST 14: Government Degree College (GDC) Kastigarh, through its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), recently organized a significant cleanliness drive at the Nagni Water Spring. This initiative was part of the Swachhta Pakhwada, a national campaign promoting cleanliness across India.

Under the leadership of Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, Principal of GDC Kastigarh, the drive aimed to enhance cleanliness and hygiene around local water sources. The primary focus was on cleaning the Nagni Water Spring, a vital resource near the college, and raising awareness about the critical need to maintain clean water sources.

During the event, participants, including faculty members, staff, and student leaders, actively engaged in removing plastic waste, organic debris, and other pollutants from the water spring and its surrounding areas. Their efforts ensured that the water remained uncontaminated, providing a cleaner and safer environment for the local community.

In addition to the physical cleaning activities, an awareness session was conducted to further the drive’s impact. Faculty members and student leaders led discussions, educating the local community on the importance of cleanliness, particularly around essential water sources.

The session emphasized the role of clean water in public health and encouraged residents to take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of the water spring.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment from both the college and the local community to work together in keeping the Nagni Water Spring and its surroundings clean, ensuring a healthy environment for everyone.
