Sonam Kapoor Sends Legal Notice to YouTuber for Roast Video
Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor has sent a legal notice to a YouTuber, Raginyy, who made a roast video about her remarks. The notice states that the video had a negative impact on Sonam Kapoor’s reputation, her husband Anand Ahuja, and their fashion brands. Kapoor has taken an active stance against defamatory remarks, online harassment, and unfavorable reviews on the internet.
The notice highlights that the content in the video was illegally uploaded without authorization. Raginyy received the notice for a video in which she roasted Sonam Kapoor over statements made at public events. Raginyy claimed that her video was meant to address dumb statements made by the actor and did not intend to be offensive.
Raginyy, who had 6,000 subscribers on YouTube at the time, expressed her inability to contest the notice due to a lack of resources and time. Social media users have criticized Sonam Kapoor for the legal action, claiming that the roast video was not offensive.
Sonam Kapoor recently represented India at the UK-India Week 2023, where she was invited by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. On the acting front, she recently starred in the film ‘Blind,’ marking her digital debut, with a focus on shedding light on the life of a visually impaired individual and giving marginalized voices a platform.
