Telangana Elections 2023: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Announces In-Charges for 54 Assembly Constituencies
In anticipation of the upcoming Telangana state assembly elections scheduled for November 30, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has made strategic decisions to ensure the party’s success. KCR has entrusted senior leaders, including MPs and ministers, to lead the election campaign
Protecting Strongholds and Ensuring Victory
KCR views Gajwel as an impregnable fortress and is keen to secure victory in both Kamareddy and Gajwel. This move is designed to minimize any potential challenges and secure victory with a substantial majority. While KTR will primarily focus on Kamareddy, Kavitha and Harish Rao have been entrusted with additional responsibilities to oversee party campaigns in Bodhan and Jangaon assembly constituencies.
The BRS has also allocated party campaign responsibilities to key leaders. Former Karimnagar MP and KCR’s close aide, B Vinod Kumar, will manage electioneering in the Vemulawada constituency. BRS floor leader in Lok Sabha, Nama Nageshwar Rao, will oversee electioneering in the Wyra (ST) constituency, and Rajya Sabha colleague and industrialist B Parthasarathi Reddy will manage Sathupally constituency.
KTR’s Encouragement and Party Vision
In a conference call with party in-charges, KTR emphasized the vital role they must play in overseeing campaign activities in their respective constituencies. He highlighted the positive atmosphere surrounding the BRS and the people’s faith in KCR’s leadership. KTR urged them to take the government’s achievements in the last nine and a half years to every doorstep, showcasing the progress achieved.
As per discussions during the meeting, KCR plans to conduct an extensive tour of the state starting on October 15, addressing 40 public meetings until November 9, the day he will file nominations in Gajwel and Kamareddy. He will intensify his campaign across the state, covering approximately 80-90 assembly constituencies, with a final campaign plan to be unveiled after the Dusshera festival on October 23.
