Minor boy drowns while bathing in river Vishow in south Kashmir’s Anantnag

SRINAGAR: A minor boy drowned while taking a bath in the Hassanpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, officials said.

An official said that the boy, namely Mohammad Salim (9), son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganae of Hasanpora, drowned in the river Vishow while taking a bath.

He said that soon after the incident, a rescue operation was launched and later his body was retrieved from the river.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident—(KNO)
