FIIs Continue to Sell as Domestic Investors See Inflows

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) maintained their selling spree on Thursday, October 12, resulting in domestic equity benchmarks settling lower. This decline was mainly attributed to the weakness in information technology (IT) stocks. In contrast, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) emerged as net buyers, injecting ₹1,532.08 crore into Indian stocks on the same day.

    FIIs and DIIs Activity

According to data from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), FIIs collectively purchased ₹8,601.4 crore worth of Indian equities, but they also offloaded ₹10,463.97 crore, leading to an outflow of ₹1,862.57 crore on Thursday. In contrast, DIIs infused ₹8,706.39 crore and offloaded ₹7,174.31 crore, registering a net inflow of ₹1,532.08 crore.
