Indian Naval Ships Conclude Successful Visit to Singapore
Indian Naval Ships Delhi, Shakti, and Kiltan completed a four-day visit to Singapore from May 6 to 9, fostering bilateral engagements and discussions on maritime security and cooperation. The visit, part of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet Operational Deployment to the South China Sea, aimed to strengthen ties and enhance interoperability between the navies.
Rear Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar, along with Commanding Officers of the ships, met with the Fleet Commander of the Republic of Singapore Navy, discussing avenues for naval cooperation. A deck reception onboard INS Shakti facilitated interactions between personnel from both navies and the Indian diaspora, fostering bonds of friendship.
As part of maritime education outreach, local school children visited the Indian Ships, gaining insights into naval operations and maritime security. These engagements aim to inspire the youth and promote understanding of maritime affairs. Personnel from both navies also conducted cross-ship visits and Subject Matter Expert Exchanges, enhancing professional interactions.
