ShahRukh Khan’s Security Enhanced to Y+ Level Following Death Threats
In response to a written complaint highlighting death threats to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, the Mumbai Police is set to provide him with Y+ security cover, as reported by India Today. This decision comes in the wake of the enormous success of his recent movies “Pathan” and “Jawan.”
Government Orders Security Upgrade
The Maharashtra government has taken swift action to address the security concerns raised in the complaint. Orders have been issued to enhance the actor’s security cover accordingly. Under the directive, the IG VIP Security has overseen the upgrading of Shahrukh Khan’s security detail.
Privately Funded Security
It is noteworthy that the security service for the actor will be privately funded. Shah Rukh Khan has taken on the responsibility of covering the associated costs, and he will make payments directly to the state government for this purpose.
Y+ Security Details
Y+ security is typically granted to individuals facing a high threat perception. Under this upgraded security cover, Mr. Khan will be accompanied by six armed security personnel around the clock, a significant increase from his previous security arrangement, which involved just two security personnel.
Actor’s Concerns Addressed
Shah Rukh Khan’s decision to reach out to the Maharashtra government was prompted by the receipt of death threats following his consecutive blockbuster hits. The state government, acknowledging the gravity of the situation, has taken proactive measures to enhance the security provided to the beloved actor.
Similar Security for Salman Khan
Notably, another Bollywood icon, Salman Khan, also enjoys Y+ security due to threats posed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The safety and security of prominent Bollywood personalities have increasingly become a matter of concern, prompting these measures to ensure their well-being.
