Atmanirbhar Bharat Triumph: IAF’s C-17 Drops Indigenous Heavy Platform
In a pivotal stride toward self-reliance, the Indian Air Force (IAF) accomplished a successful airdrop of an extra-long and heavy platform developed indigenously by the Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment (ADRDE).
Capable of carrying over 22 tonnes, this platform was dropped during trials from an IAF C-17 aircraft.
The achievement stands as a major milestone, augmenting the combat capabilities of the C-17 aircraft in diverse missions, particularly air-delivering critical loads to ground troops.
This success underscores India’s progress in crafting self-sufficient solutions for defense applications.
