    JK Forest Dept Promotes 27 Range Officers

    The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of the Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department, led by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), has approved promotions for Forest Officials across various categories.

    A total of 27 Foresters have been promoted to the position of Range Officer-II (Level-6C). Additionally, 09 Multi Tasking Staff (Class-IV) members have advanced to the role of Junior Assistants, and one Junior Stenographer has been promoted to Senior Stenographer.

    The Forest Department’s promotion orders align with the UT Government’s policy to offer timely career progression opportunities to government officials. This approach aims to encourage enhanced performance and improved outcomes among the workforce.

    It is noteworthy that the department recently elevated 41 Range Officers-II to the status of Range Officers-I (Gazetted Cadre), marking the first promotions at this level in over three years.
