Congress Blamed for Kashmir Tragedies:Devender Rana
Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana, in a strong statement on Friday, held the Congress party responsible for the long-standing tragedies in Kashmir, accusing them of both architecting and perpetrating the turmoil in the region.
Devender Rana attributed the rise of separatism in the Valley to the Congress, leading to an extended period of destruction, devastation, and suffering spanning nearly three decades. These remarks were made during Rana’s interaction with deputations at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar during the weekly public hearing.

Emphasizing BJP’s role, Rana asserted that the party successfully addressed the chaos prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir for almost seven decades. According to him, the turning point occurred on August 5, 2019, when Article 370 was repealed. Rana accused the Congress of providing moral support to the enemies of the people, promoting stone-pelting, and fostering a bandh culture to serve their political interests. He highlighted that after the removal from power, the era of stone-pelting came to an end, allowing the people to actively contribute to the development efforts initiated by the Prime Minister.

Rana underlined the significance of Jammu and Kashmir for the present National Leadership, citing the launch of various projects and schemes aimed at transforming the region economically. He claimed that the Congress, accustomed to a political narrative based on the miseries of the people, found the ongoing massive development in the region, particularly in a peaceful atmosphere, to be a challenge. Rana expressed confidence in Jammu and Kashmir becoming a key player in India’s growth story, with substantial development observed in industrial and health infrastructure, startups, self-help groups, and roadwork during the past four years.

Rana highlighted a paradigm shift in governance, where discrimination and appeasement have been replaced by fair play, aligning with the Prime Minister’s agenda of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Priyas. He noted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are witnessing a noticeable transformation in every pocket of the region, both in urban and rural areas, due to sustained efforts guided by the BJP leadership’s vision. Rana expressed confidence that Jammu and Kashmir, with the rejection of violence and instability, is on the path to becoming a crucial player in India’s growth story, giving lasting peace a significant chance for the region’s development.
