In Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, the Border Security Force (BSF) discovered an improvised explosive device (IED) dropped by a drone near the International Border (IB) in the Manyari post area.

The incident occurred during a search operation prompted by the BSF troops’ observation of a Pakistani drone’s movement in the morning. The troops engaged by opening fire, and the subsequent search revealed the IED close to the zero line.

Ongoing reports indicate that the search operation is still in progress. The drone is suspected to have returned to the Pakistani side, and experts are currently examining the IED dropped in a forward village.
