Israel should look after its own interests, not the interests of Paris: Ben-Gvir
Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has criticised France’s diplomatic efforts during Israel’s war on Gaza.
In a post on X, Ben-Gvir accused France of allowing medicines sent into Gaza for captives to go straight to Hamas. This appears to be a reference to reports in Israeli media that the two Israeli captives recently rescued during a deadly bombardment of Rafah had not received their medicine and had not been made aware of the arrangement.
He also accused Paris of pushing for Israel to surrender to Hezbollah in the north, and criticised the recent sanctions against dozens of settlers.
“The state of Israel should look after the interests of the state of Israel, not the interests of Paris,” he said.
