Tim Southee Becomes First Bowler to Take 150 Wickets in Men’s T20Is
New Zealand’s veteran pacer Tim Southee achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first bowler to take 150 wickets in Men’s T20 Internationals. He achieved this feat during the first T20I against Pakistan at Eden Park in Auckland, finishing with figures of 4/25 in his four-over spell. Southee, who made his T20I debut in 2008, previously became the third bowler to reach 100 T20I wickets after Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan and Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga. With 746 international wickets, including over 350 in Tests, Southee remains a key figure in New Zealand’s bowling lineup. New Zealand secured a 46-run victory against Pakistan in the first T20I of the five-match series.
